FANTASY CRICKET LEAGUE 2009

RULES

1.Each team to consist of 11 players, selected from the list supplied.

2.You have a maximum of £6,000 to spend on your team. You do not have to spend the full £6,000.

3.There are no restrictions on the type of player you can select (Batsmen, Bowlers, Wicketkeepers).

4.You can make 2 substitutions at anytime during the season. Substitutions will not go into force until the following SATURDAY. Substitution requests must be submitted either by e-mail, text message, or voice message, and sent to the addresses at the bottom. Notification will be sent back a.s.a.p.

5.ALL Woodham Mortimer Cricket Club matches will count, including any inter-club games that are arranged during the season.

6.Player values have been calculated using last seasons statistics. Not all scorecards were completed correctly, so this has led to some statistics being incorrect.

7.Entry to the Fantasy Cricket League is £2.50 per team.

8.Prizes will be awarded after the last club fixture of the year. Prizes are as follows : 1st 40%, 2nd 30%, 3rd 20%, and 4th 10%.

9.League tables will be updated once a week (Monday or Tuesday), and passed to the Club website for publication. Anyone wishing updates direct, please provide e-mail address details on the Team Selection Sheet.

10.To ensure fair play throughout the season, the Fantasy Cricket League Committee will oversee any queries that are raised. The committee consists of Damian Fannon, David Goodchild, and Russell Barnard. Please approach any of them should you have any questions. The committee’s decision will be final.

11. The list of players includes everyone that played at least one outdoor game for the club in 2008. You will be informed as soon as any new players are added to the list, and also their value. New values will be agreed by the Committee.

POINTS

Each player will receive 5 pts for playing in the game. If the game is abandoned without a ball being bowled, no points will be awarded. If a game is abandoned at any other stage, all points accrued will still count.

Batting Points

1 pt for each run scored

25 bonus pts for scoring between 50 and 99

50 bonus points for scoring over 99

Bowling Points

20 pts per wicket taken

25 bonus points for taking 3 or 4 wickets

50 bonus points for taking 5 or more wickets

Fielding Points

5 pts for each catch taken

5 pts for each stumping taken

5 pts for a run out involvement
